General Servicing

Service Examples

We have 3 examples of servicing options available. Each carried out by our trained technicians to the same high standard you would expect.

Example 1 – Full Service

Example 3 – NCT Pre Test Service

Full Service:

• Removing of all road wheels, checking cleaning and adjusting of all brakes.
• Change of engine oil and filter.
• Change of spark plugs (petrol vehicles).
• Change of air filter.
• Change of fuel filter (diesel vehicles).
• Change of fuel filter (petrol cards when requested).
• Checking of all fluid levels including anti freeze strength and brake fluid boiling point.
• Check all lights.
• General steering and safety check.
• Greasing of door hinges.
• Checking of tyres.
• General check over of all components that would cause you a problem in the future.

Service wash and road test and general report of any work required.

Intermediate Service:

• Change of engine oil and filter.
• Inspection of brake pads (where visible).
• Check fluid levels.
• Check lights.
• Check tyres.
• Vehicle safety check.

NCT Pre Test Service:

• Change of engine oil and filter.
• Inspection of brake pads (where visible).
• Check fluid levels.
• Check lights.
• Check tyres.
• Vehicle safety check.

Service wash required for test and general report of any work required.

Brakes and Clutches

Driving with faulty brakes puts you and other people at risk. If you think you have a problem or have recently acquired a vehicle and need advice bring your car to us and we’ll check them for you. We fit all leading brands.

All our clutch units are manufactured using only the finest parts and have lifetime warranties.

Steering

There are different types of steering systems, from hydraulic power systems to electronic power steering or no power steering. Keatings Garage has the expertise to deal with them all.

3D Wheel Alignment

Our new 3D Wheel Alignment system takes wheel alignment equipment to the next generation. This technology provides the ultimate performance in fast, easy and accurate align-ments while minimizing the possibilities of errors due to operator and vehicle variables.

Beam Setting of Lights

You are only safe on the road if you can see and be seen. So make sure you have good visibility despite rain, fog or snow. Our extensive lights technology program can help. It provides extra strong lighting power for headlights, indicators and rear lights, rotating beacons and working or additional lights to ensure that you can see and be seen perfectly well even in bad weather.

Vehicle Management Systems

We have the ability to diagnose most vehicle models running faults. Having the latest diagnostic equipment to hand helps us find faults quicker. If a fault is found we can usually deal with it the next day ensuring labour costs are kept to a minimum.

Air Conditioning service/repair

With more and more cars fitted with air-con we have the equipment and know how to service and repair these systems

Air-conditioning needs to be serviced regularly, this not been done can result in added engine wear and greatly increase petrol consumption

Batteries

Lithium batteries are proven to have a greater starting power than average batteries on the market. As a premium supplier, we hold most in stock. However, in the unlikely event that the battery you require is out of stock, we would normally be able to supply you with one within the hour.

Tyres

GET MORE MILES FROM YOUR TYRES! With our new 3D Wheel Alignment.

We supply and fit every size and make of tyres. If they’re not in stock we can order and fit usually within 24 hours.

Bring your car to Keatings’s and we’ll be happy to check your tyres for you.We also have computerised wheel balancing facilities on site.

Keating's carry out all types of repairs from replacement of metallastic bushes to major overhauls.

Bodywork

WE pride ourselves on a fast and efficient turn round of repairs and bodywork is no exception. Approved by all insurance companies nationally, we can deal with insurance repairs promptly and professionally.
